The City of Orinda is a police services contract with the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office.  With a staff of 14, sworn personnel serve approximately 18, 681 people over 12.7 square miles.  Officers respond to calls for service, provide traffic enforcement and traffic accident investigations as well as conduct criminal investigations.  The Orinda Police Officers work with the community at the executive and staff level and participate in civic celebrations such as the 4th of July parade, school kick-off barbecue’s and holiday festivals.  The men and woman who work in Orinda enjoy the close-knit community and are proud to serve the City of Orinda.
